Individual Note:
     Burtis W. Budine was co-founder of the Del-Met Corporation in Walton with the late Herbert Buerger and served the company for 41 years in several capacities retiring in July, 1986. His last residence was on Pines Brook, Walton. He was elected to the mayoralty in March, 1979 serving three two-year terms. Mr. Budine was a member of Walton United Presbyterian Church and Walton Lodge 559, F&AM, Mr. and Mrs. Budine had observed their 50th anniversary in 1986. Surviving him is a son, Phillip Budine of Walton.

      OBITUARY: Walton Reporter, 1930 - Little Eunice Mae Bartow, the seventeen-months-old daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Bartow, who died on Sept. 18, is survived by her parents, one brother, Clinton; her grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Charles Bartow, and Mr. and Mrs. Leslie Budine; her aged great-grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. John Gilbert, and several uncles and aunts. A short prayer was held at the family home Sunday afternoon and at 2 o'clock, and the Holmes's undertaking parlors, conducted by Rev. Grant Robinson, pastor of the M.E. Church, with burial in the Walton cemetery.
        From another article...The child had been ill with the bowel trouble which has been prevalent among children and meningitis developed.

      OBITUARY: Rubert H. Budine of Livingston Manor died Jan.11, 1994 at Community General Hospital, Harris. He was 101 years old. Born Nov. 17, 1892 in Walton, he was the son of Cyrus and Hannah Shutters Budine. He was married to the former Alice Lambert, who predeceased him. Mr. Budine had lived in Livingston Manor for 34 years, and was a retired dairy farmer. Surviving Mr. Budine is a son, Cyrus Budine of Bloomingberg [NY]; a step-son, Edwin Estabrook of Livingston Manor; and a daughter, Stella Monser of Florida. Funeral services will be Thursday, Jan. 13 at 11:00 a.m. at the Bryant Funeral Home, Livingston Manor with the Rev. James O'Rourke officiating. Burial will take place in the Orchard Street Cemetery, Livingston Manor. Call hours will take place tonight, Jan. 12 from 7-9 p.m. and Thursday from 9-11 a.m. Anyone wishing to do so may make memorial contributions to the Livingston Manor Volunteer Ambulance Corps.
