      MARRIAGE: Walton Reporter, August 7, 1926 - Clyde L. Constable and Miss Virginia A. Davidson, two well-known Walton young people, were united in marriage on Sunday evening, Aug. 1, by Rev. S.U. North at the Congregational parsonage. They were attended by Mr. and Mrs. A.L. Boyd. The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Seth A. Davidson. Mr. Constable, who is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Andrew Constable, is a student in Cornell and a member of the football team.

      MAN OF THE YEAR: Binghamton, NY paper, 13 Jan 1966 - The Broome County Board of Realtors has named former Waltonian, Raymond Budine of Apalachin, as "man of the year." The Vestal realtor was presented a plaque at a recent meeting of the real estate organization of which he was president in 1958. He was born in Walton, came to Binghamton as a farmer in 1945 and went, into the real estate business as a salesman for May Brothers. He opened his own office in 1947 and has been a member of the Board since, serving nine years as director, one as vice-president and two terms as president. He was asked by the State Commissioner against Discrimination, in 1958, to attend a special meeting in New York on better housing opportunities. During his reign as president and director of the Broome county board, the organization received many awards. His suggestion for a Route 11 over-pass later became a reality. In state activities he was regional vice president of the Southern Tier district, served on its executive committee and was also on several other committees as well as being active on the national level in real estate activities.
        DEATH CERTIFICATE: shows dob: 1 July 1902, place of burial as Vestal Hills Memorial Cemetery, Vestal, NY. This dob was provided by third wife Edna Goodman Budine. Raymond had an 8th grade education. Obituary states he was survived by daughter Rae Marie Budine.

     Walton Reporter, 19 April 1930: “Hurled Through a Door by Lightning…Leroy Budine of Loomis now Recovering from Shock.” A bolt of lightning, which followed a water pipe into the barn where he was milking late Friday afternoon knocked Leroy Budine of Loomis, near Walton, off his milking stool and out through an open doorway. Mr. Budine’s right arm and his speech have been affected by the lightning but he is recovering the use of the arm and of his voice. The fact that he was wearing rubber boots may have saved his life.
