Individual Note:
In the spring of 1867 the Frazier family started West from Hood County, Texas, near Fort Worth. They were headed for the Willamette Valley in Oregon. They moved out in three wagons, one drawn by horses, the others by mules. One wagon held the family of Martha Frazier Elam, her husband Martin, and their year-old baby, Rachel Laverna. In 1928 Martha died at the Walla Walla sanitarium, College Place, following an illness of about a week.
