Individual Note: Israel Keach Sr.’s father and mother nor that of his wife not known but had at least one brother George who was single and made his home with Israel Sr. and Jr. After the death of son Israel Jr. (22 Feb 1864) and daughter-in-law Margaret (16 Jun 1862), Israel Sr. had a shock but got better. Israel Sr. and George went to live with his [Israel Jr.’s] daughter, Mrs. Charlival Rogers [nee Mary Keach] who tended lock or something of that sort and was lost track of by Sarah and Van(?).

Individual Note: The boy's name Abiel is of Hebrew origin, and its meaning is “my father is the Lord.” Biblical name that the Puritans used in the US, but rare since.
Abiel Cook is buried in the Quaker Cemetery, town of New Lisbon on the road between Ketchum Meeting House and Edmeston.
Place of residence North Fairfield, Conn. Enlisted at North Fairfield - first enlistment for two months in 1778 aged 15 - second enlistment for nine months in 1779 - third for six months 1780 - fourth for twelve months in 1781. During his nine months enlistment [1779], he was with General Sullivan in expeditions against the Indians.
