      Mary Sue graduated from St. Anne's School, Charlottesville, Va., and from St. Catherine's School, Richmond, Va. She attended Sweet Briar College two years and later Traphagen School of Fashion Design in New York City and Phillips Gallery in Washington, D. C. She has lived for some years in Fairfax County near Alexandria, Va.

     Landon graduated from U. S. Naval Academy and served on submarines with rank of Commander during World War II receiving the Silver Star and Gold Star in lieu of a second Silver Star for gallantry. He also received the Navy Marine Corps medal and three area campaign bars.

Individual Note:
      Alfred attended Woodberry Forest School at Orange, Va., 1935-38, Hun School in Princeton, N. J., 1939-40; attended the University of Virginia 1940-41; and RCA Radio School in New York City 1941-42.
        He enlisted in U. S. Navy (apprentice seaman) September 1, 1942, and was discharged as Radioman 1/c on 11 Dec 1945, after completing the course on sonar material at Fleet Sonar School. He returned to the University of Virginia February to June 1946; was in a partnership selling surplus Navy boats in Brooklyn, N. Y., Dec. 1946 to Oct. 1948; operated a small corporation in Rhode Island selling flour wholesale in 1947; in conjunction with Burwell Allen & Co., New York City, set up (vice-president) Thaibok Fabrics Ltd., importing hand-made silk fabrics from Thailand 1949-1951; attended New York (City) University in 1951. In 1968 became a radio officer in U. S. Merchant Marine, visiting Thailand, The Philippines, Vietnam, Ceylon, Seychelles Islands, and other ports. His home for some years has been in Portola Valley, California.
